Special Education/IEP and College Consulting Services in Colorado

I offer a variety of educational consulting services to my clients.  Based upon my work as a teacher in the public schools, college instructor, and experience working with learning disabled, gifted, and attention different students for the past twenty-one years, I serve as a parent/student advocate in helping students and parents obtain the most appropriate educational services.

Additionally, I assist high school students and their families with the transition to college to determine what accommodations would be beneficial and who to contact at a given school to initiate the process, as well as assist in determining student interests, college placement, and schedule planning.  I offer
ADHD/Executive Skill Coaching remotely to assist college students as needed to improve their potential for success in higher education and as a contact with disability services if needed.

I am available to evaluate IEP and 504 Plans for students in grades 9-12 related to ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities, and other difficulties.  I can assist in creating the most beneficial accommodations for your son or daughter.   I am also available for consultations to help you decide if special education services would benefit or are appropriate for your student. My experience and expertise are in the areas of learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, gifted learners, and anxiety and mood disorders.

I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation if my schedule allows to determine if  my services are appropriate for your needs. Additionally, I work with adolescents and young adults to help develop self-advocacy skills.

Disclaimer:  I am not an attorney and therefore cannot offer legal advice if you are in the middle of a legal dispute over an IEP/504 with a school district.  Additionally, I do not diagnose ADHD/ADD or Learning Disabilities.
