Of primary importance to me is adapting my coaching style to meet the needs of you or your son or daughter using a strengths-based approach. My years of experience have taught me that many students find success in the classroom and life through alternative instructional methods or with specific support. I believe that adolescents and young adults are full of potential and have a lot to offer society given support and encouragement. I possess a strong background in working with students, both adolescents and adults, who are attention different, gifted, learning disabled, diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression, or with other social-emotional needs.
I hold a B.A. in Psychology (1992) and a MEd. in Information and Learning Technologies (2001) from the University of Colorado at Denver. I completed my Teacher Certification Program through Metro State College of Denver (1998) and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher in Colorado. Additionally, I hold a M.A. in Psychology from Regis University (2012) with an emphasis in Adolescent Development and ADHD/Executive Function Skills Coaching. I attend continuing education in the areas of ADHD, Executive Function Skills, Giftedness, Trauma, Adolescent/Young Adult Mental Health, Motivational Interviewing, Neuroscience, and in the area of teaching and learning both on the K-
